Tell Minister McKenna to protect the caribou and the Boreal forest

Canada’s boreal forest is an iconic ecosystem that holds deep cultural value, sequesters enormous amounts of greenhouse gas emissions, and is home to the majestic Boreal Caribou.

But this sensitive ecosystem is threatened by logging, oil, and gas extraction. The population of Boreal caribou – whose health reflects the health of the forest itself – is listed as Threatened under the Canadian Species at Risk Act and is declining rapidly.

Sign here to tell Environment Minister Catherine McKenna to work with Indigenous Peoples and implement climate-resilient boreal caribou habitat plan by the end of the year.
