Lungs of the world. Precious home to wildlife. Storer of carbon. Protecting old growth forests is protecting our way of life. Around the world, old growth forests are under attack by corporate interests and lax environmental rules. Not only does this threaten rare and endangered species, it threatens the entire planet’s ability to produce the oxygen we breathe and store carbon away from the atmosphere where it’s heating the globe at a rapid rate.
Founded as ForestEthics in 2000, Stand.earth was created to safeguard forests. Since then, we've protected 65 million acres—including the iconic Great Bear Rainforest—from unsustainable logging practices.
Now, as the climate warms, it's more important than ever to push governments and corporations from unsustainable exploitation of forests.
