How Portland passed a groundbreaking fossil fuel ban in their city

In 2016, 350PDX, Oregon Physicians for Social Responsibility, Audubon Society of Portland, the Center for Sustainable Economy, Columbia Riverkeeper, and countless grassroots activists fought for and successfully passed a bill banning the expansion of existing fossil fuel terminals. Also included in this bill was a provision limiting new terminals in the city to 2 million gallons or less. This is their story.
