Kayla joined Stand.earth in 2011 after graduating from Western Washington University with a B.S. in Environmental Science. In her role as Associate Director of Environmental and Sustainability Programs at Western, Kayla got her start coordinating programs and events for students and community members to engage in environmental activism. Through this and her coursework, Kayla developed a deep understanding of the threats to community health and the global climate. After graduation, she felt the need to work for an organization that was getting real results fighting for community safety and climate change mitigation, which led her to Stand.earth.
Kayla loves living in beautiful Bellingham, Washington, with her husband and dog.
